Whole wheat muffins made or baked at home are great way to start the morning with a cup of coffee at they make the body and mind ready for the rest of the busy day. Even though whole wheat muffins are not considered as a break fast substitute, they can be a part of the morning meal. Many persons think them as a prior to the breakfast snack. The ingredients required for making whole wheat muffins can be found in the house itself and they are very cheap too. Some of important ingredients needed for making whole wheat muffins are two teaspoons of baking powder (non-alum), one and three fourth cup of whole wheat flour – pastry, one teaspoon of wheat germ, half teaspoon of cinnamon, three teaspoons of honey, three teaspoons of unrefined vegetable oil, three fourth cup of skimmed milk.

Whole wheat muffins can be prepared by mixing all the liquid and dry ingredients in two separate bowls and then mixing and combining them both thoroughly. The mixed batter is then filled in the greased muffin tins and baked for fifteen minutes at three hundred and seventy five degrees Fahrenheit.
