Chocolate Muffins: Why Dark Chocolates are Preferred!

Everyone would like to eat chocolates and chocolate muffins and hence chocolate muffins are described as delicious, dark, tall, indulgent, rich and decadent by chocolate lovers. Chocolate muffins can a perfect snack or food which completes the coffee breaks during mornings or evenings, unless some are concerned about eating them in the morning before lunch.

For making chocolate muffins, dark chocolates are considered the best as they bring about a deep chocolate flavor and color to the chocolate muffins which might not be possible otherwise with milk chocolates. Usage of dark chocolates also prevents the chocolate muffins becoming overly sweet. It does not mean that darkest chocolate should be used in the making of the chocolate muffins as any good quality dark chocolate or semi sweet chocolates can be used.

The muffin batter mixes together very well and faster as the chocolate and butter melt nicely when stirred and mixed together with the rest of the muffin ingredients. There is also no need for creaming. When the chocolate muffin mixture is based, it results in moist and tender muffins with a huge hit of chocolate.

Apart from the chocolate in the melted form in the muffin batter, chocolate chips or chunks can be used. In order to check if the chocolate muffins are cooked properly, it can be pricked using toothpicks which come out of the muffins without any batter sticking to it. Care should be taken not to over-cook the chocolate muffins as it can make them very dry.
